Recently, I was visiting with a friend and collaborator, Jenny of Working Wohl. She had alerted me some weeks ago that she was in the market for a new laptop or tablet.
So after some chatting between the two of us about what she was looking for in a device, she landed on this.
ASUS Chromebook Flip C436

Being a consultant and an artist herself, Jenny wasn’t interested in a typical clam-shell laptop. That was not going to be versatile enough.
It is also why when we were first talking she kept thinking she would be more interested in a straight ahead tablet. And although she might not consider herself a tech wizard, she has immersed herself into a connected living space with Google products.

As I pointed out in one of our conversations, I thought a 2-in-1 would likely fill her needs quite nicely.
A laptop with features like a back-lit keyboard with fuller size keys for firing off those emails and, ‘presto-change-oh’, folds into a tablet for convenient use as a drawing pad for her art.
See the full list of features here.
It didn’t hurt that the until is sleek, light-weight, and chocked full of other features like a decent solid state hard drive, an awesome screen, and a long lasting battery.
Take a look at my visit with her as she unboxed the product.

Additionally, over the coming weeks, I’ll be posting periodical check ins with Jenny to get her impressions about the Flip as she settles into incorporating it into her workflow.
